The school has a very active school council that meets every three weeks.

The school council Is run by our chair persons, supported by two secretaries and treasurers. These posts are usually held by children in Year 6. The school council also has several honourary members – older children who are happy to work on school council for an extra year to give the council more experience. Each class has two members on the school council; a chair person and a secretary. These posts are voted for by the children in each class. These children lead our class council. Class council discusses ideas which are taken back to the school council so that each class has a role in the decision making process.

The school council have planned and raised the money for most of the playground equipment the school has installed over the last few years. They also choose the charities our school supports each year. Other recent projects include helping to decide our school values, making changes to the dining hall and school dinners as well as providing the headteacher with feedback about teaching and learning in our creative curriculum. The school council also publishes a termly newsletter for parents and children.
