The theme for Anti-Bullying Week 2018 is: ‘Choose Respect’ and Anti-Bullying Week runs from 12th – 16th  November

Year 6 took part in an Anti-bullying workshop linked to the theme of ‘Choose Respect and positive relationships’. Within the workshop, the children learnt what respect means and choosing respect over bullying.

Throughout the session, they discussed different scenarios and how they would act/behave or think if they were in certain situations. Also they acted out different scenarios and discussed thoughts and feelings on being disrespected but also being disrespectful to others.

The children had the opportunity to recite a poem about Respect and acted the words out in the poem.

As a follow up activity, the children decorated a box and designed it with words/pictures, which summarizes their characteristics and traits on the outside. However, had come to the conclusion that on the inside we are all the same.

The children will continue to do more work around anti-bullying week next week- with a focus on Cyber Bullying.

As a school, we will be holding the Odd Socks Day on Monday 12th November 2018.
