Last week, all children in foundation stage received a visit from some reptiles and insects. Nursery children where taught about how these animals have different habitats around the world and why each habitat is best for them to survive in. The children were extremely brave when touching and getting into close contact with the creatures. The questions that were asked by the nursery children due to this experience were very impressive, for example, ‘if this snake smells with it’s tongue why does it have nostrils?’. They were tremendously inquisitive and were eager to learn more about each animal as they were introduced.
