Meet Rosie and Penny

This week we are lucky enough to have two visitors to stay at the school for a week.

They are  two micro pigs called Rosie and Penny. They are sisters and are about 6 months old. They will be living in the quad for a week and Year 3 will be using them to link in with their literacy and science.

Please come and say hello and meet our new guests…. hopefully we can try to convince Mr Fullagar to let us keep them!!

Fun facts about micro Pigs

  • They love to have their ears scratched.
  • Though they have a few different names (micropigs, miniature pigs, teacup pigs), they aren’t really miniature. Most are simply potbellied pigs that are naturally smaller than domestic farm pigs. The latter can weigh several hundred kilos.
  • They are the fifth cleverest animal on the planet. The are more intelligent than a dog!!
