Year 3 had an exciting trip to the National Gallery last week. We explored and observed the famous London river paintings by Claude Monet and looked closer at his technique.

We then went onto Hungerford Bridge and sketched a skyline of the main London buildings we could see.

It was an amazing day and we all really enjoyed becoming artists for the day. The children were all well behaved at the Gallery. Well done.

We are all now looking forward to re-creating our very own ‘Impressionist Painting’ in Monet’s Style.
