Online learning – the details

Bug Club

This is an online reading platform where children will be set books to read that are matched to their reading ability. Teachers will update these once all books have been read. The log in for this can be found in your child’s exercise book.

My Maths

My maths is an online maths learning platform. Teachers will set work based on the children’s ability and what they would have been learning in class. This website also provides games and additional work if your child wishes to practice more. The log in for this can be found in your child’s exercise book.

TT Rockstars (years 2 – 6)

This is an online maths learning platform that your child can use to practice their times tables. Children can compete in a range of games against each other to find out who is the times table champion. They can also play individual games to improve their fluency with times tables.

Espresso

This is an online platform that has resources for every area of the school curriculum. The resources include games, videos, pictures and interactive activities. Children could use this to revisit any prior learning or support their learning tasks. For example, when writing stories children could use the writing section of the website to help them structure and write.

Reading

All children have been given a colour banded book and a book of their choice from their classes. We encourage all parents to still read daily with their children and record this in their reading diary. Bug Club is to be used to support this and these books can also be recorded in their reading diaries.
