Dear Parents and Carers,

I am sure you will have heard the announcement from the government yesterday, Wednesday 30th December, that in order to help stop the community transmission of coronavirus (COVID-19), some primary schools will not open as expected at the start of January.

Barking and Dagenham has been identified as one of these areas where primary schools will not open as expected.

This means that Richard Alibon Primary School will be open only for the children of critical workers and those defined as vulnerable pupils until Monday 18th January 2021.

All other pupils will be offered remote home learning from Wednesday 6th January,

If you think your child is entitled to attend school as the child of a critical worker or as a vulnerable child, please email the school office.

If your child will be learning from home, please check the school website for our home learning offer which will be published by the end of the day on Tuesday 5th January and watch out for the online zoom lesson invites which will be sent out via text message.

Kind regards,

Andrew Fullagar

Headteacher
