Our Year 3 students have been lucky enough to be picked to be a part of the Tate Year 3 project. This is part of a piece of work by Steve McQueen , the Oscar winning film producer, This epic portrait will be featuring tens of thousands of Year 3 pupils from all over London.
It has now been classed as one of the world’s most ambitious art projects of this generation.
Using the traditional school class photograph, the portrait will capture tens of thousands of London school pupils aged 7-8 in a milestone year of their development.
Our class photos will be a part of it, these will then be displayed between November 2019 and May 2020, the Duveen Galleries at Tate Britain will be taken over by a vast artwork of thousands of class photographs.
