The Gamelan Project is an arts and music project with The Indonesian Embassy and Year 5. Students have had the opportunity to learn about Indonesian music, it’s instruments and then join together to create their own Gamelan.

The word ‘gamelan’ is a Javanese word meaning ‘orchestra’, referring to the instruments that make up the ensemble.

Our students have played the instruments and have also had the opportunity to make their own shadow puppets.
