Welcome back,
Hope you all had a lovely summer.
We started our year in Year 6 with a big bang focusing on Space.
Throughout the week, we learnt about the Big Bang and consolidated our knowledge about forces. We had the opportunity to create our own word searches and designed our own rockets. Later in the week, we made the rockets using bottles, card board and paper.
To end the week, we took a trip down to Pondfield Park to launch our rockets. The children as well as the teachers had a great time. Once we got back to school, we discussed the science behind the launches and why some rocket designs did better than others.
