On Friday 18th November 2018 children from year 5 preformed two songs at Sydney Russell School. Their wonderful performance was given a standing ovation from the audience. This was a particularly special moment as the audience included a number of veterans from the Second World War.

The participation in this event along with a variety of work created by different year groups and the wonderful displays that can be seen in the main corridors of our school enabled us to achieve the prestigious Historic England Heritage Schools Award.
